Teyana Taylor zaczynała karierę jako choreografka, m.in. Beyonce. W 2008 wydała pierwszy oficjalny singiel Google Me. O artystce zrobiło się głośno za sprawą udziału w klipie Fade Kanye Westa. Teledysk otrzymał nagrodę MTV VMA za Najlepszą choreografię. Niedługo Teyanę będzie można zobaczyć w filmie Netfliksa „The Afterparty” oraz serialu „Hit The Floor”.
