W lutym 2018 roku Everything Is Recorded – projekt artystyczny kierowany przez muzyka, producenta nagrań i współzałożyciela XL Recordings, Richarda Russella, wydał debiutancki album Everything Is Recorded by Richard Russell, który zdobył ogromne uznanie. Album, nagrany w studiu Russella Copper House w Londynie, zawiera eklektyczną międzynarodową i międzypokoleniową obsadę współpracowników i muzyków.
Aby wykorzystać energię, która pojawiła się po koncertach projektu Everything Is Recorded, Richard Russell udał się z powrotem do studia. Dołączyli do niego kluczowi współpracownicy, w tym Infinite, Mela Murder, Obongjayar, Ibeyi, Sampha i Green Gartside of Scritti Politti.
Rezultatem jest szescioutworowa EP-ka 8AM, która ukaże się w ograniczonym do 500 sztuk nakładzie na jednostronnym winylu. EP-ka będzie także zawierać fanzin ze zdjęciami Eda Morrisa, wyprodukowany przez The Photocopy Club.
Wraz z informacją o wydaniu EPki zespół opublikował dziś pochodzący z niej nowy singiel Carry Me. W utworze słychać głos niezwykle utalentowanego Obongjayara, urodzonego w Nigerii brytyjskiego muzyka, który wcześniej współpracował z Everything Is Recorded przy utworze She Said.
